Throughout my career, I often looked for mentoring opportunities or guidance in building my leadership skill set. For me, these opportunities never presented themselves. After working over twenty years as a senior-level administrator in higher education, I decided that I wanted to reach out to a larger audience. An audience of emerging leaders that are, like I was, hungry for information on how to effectively lead a team.

 

I decided to name my company Arete 360, based on the Greek word that exemplifies the pursuit of excellence with character. The positive leadership workshops, group, and one/one coaching sessions that I have created are all built upon this philosophy. Working as a collegiate athletic director and head coach at NCAA, NAIA, and USCAA universities, I have gained years of valuable organizational leadership experience that I incorporate into all of my programs. These experiences in intercollegiate athletics also drive my collaborative approach with my audience to help them become champions in their industry and personal lives.

 

I am also a speaker for the Positive Coaching Alliance. I work with organizational leaders, coaches, parents, and athletes to develop positive cultures and experiences that develop young adults into “better athletes, better people.”
